PACA stands at a pivotal point in our present time that will impact our future. And we need your prayers. We have negotiated with the Nazarene leadership on the acquisition of their 3,000 square meter training center (the property next door to PACA’s playground). Acquiring this property would enable us to achieve four dreams:
1. Start a PACA pre-school that integrates the Christian faith and values while developing English fluency. Most Christian families in São Paulo's professional workforce enroll their 2-3 year old children in daycare facilities. This is an opportunity for the school to come alongside these families, providing an education that is founded on “training up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
The pre-school will also provide significant income to increase salary and benefits to our wonderful PACA teachers, enabling us to attract and retain committed, professional, Christian teachers to develop our young people.
2. Expand our services to our current students by adding a new auditorium for Chapels and assemblies. We have been needing new facilities in order to expand some of our arts programs. The new property adds a much needed auditorium to host some key spiritual events that impact our student body. Part of the remodeling costs include installing a state-of-the-art sound system and a datashow projector in order to improve the worship experience every Tuesday during Chapel.
3. Provide additional teacher housing to our staff. The Jabez Expansion project has an immediate impact helping us meet our need for teacher housing with a beautiful four bedroom house (each bedroom is a suite). We have painted, re-wired, added wireless internet connection, and prepared the PACA House for immediate teacher housing - specifically for our male teachers.
4. Giving back to Brazil because the Jabez property offers additional offices to administrate the growing ACSI-Brazil movement and an auditorium that provides a fantastic location to host periodical workshops and one-day enablers to the local Brazilian Christian educators. We have already hosted a teacher certification workshop to teachers hungry to learn about how to integrate Christian education in their lesson plans. We are training teachers on how to share God’s truths in the classroom – private school or public school.
Today the ACSI-Brazil movement is investing into over 1,000 teachers, who work in both private and public Brazilian schools. ACSI-Brazil has 50 member schools that represent over 18,000 students. The Jabez Expansion Project is a vital part of the school’s vision to promote the cause of Christian Education in Brazil and around the world.
Furthermore, this PACA / ACSI-Brazil movement has caught the attention of Christian schools in Portugal, Mozambique, East Timor and East Africa. They have been asking PACA to provide more information and to send teachers to offer workshops or mini-conferences at these various countries. God has been using PACA to expand His Kingdom around the world!
 The school is following God’s leading and has signed the papers to buy the property over the year. PACA has invested a portion of its cash reserves to fund the down payment. Now, we are moving out in faith to fund The Jabez Expansion Project’s need of US$500,000 that will help buy and make improvements to the property and replenish PACA’s cash reserves.
